Apply Hand Wash: Dispense a dime-sized amount of liquid or foam hand wash onto your hands, or rub your wet hands on a bar of soap to create lather.

Lather Well: Rub your hands together to create a good lather. Make sure to scrub all parts of your hands, including the back of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

Scrub: Continue scrubbing for at least 20 seconds. If you need a timer, you can hum the "Happy Birthday" song twice.

Rinse: Rinse your hands well under running water to remove all the soap, dirt, and germs.

Dry Hands: Dry your hands using a clean towel or an air dryer. If possible, use a paper towel to turn off the tap to avoid re-contaminating your hands.
